LensaSim Plant

LensaSim Plant is a 3D training plant for process and automation engineers: real control problems, scored on what the plant actually did.

Missions

  • Each mission is a situation an engineer inherits — a loop left in manual, a slugging riser, a transmitter that has started to lie, a compressor about to trip.
  • Work the plant as at a console: faceplates, setpoints and tuning, trends, alarms, and the cause & effect of the safety system.
  • Your attempt is replayed on our server and scored on the plant's performance, then a debrief explains what the engineers who wrote the procedure knew.
  • Missions run from Foundation through Practitioner and Advanced to Expert; passing one unlocks the next.

Facilities and tracks

  • Three facilities are live: an FPSO production train, a crude charge heater, and gas compression & dehydration — across oil and gas production, refining and gas processing. Each has a sandbox to try anything.
  • Six training tracks build competence in what plant engineers are judged on: control loop fundamentals, controller tuning, abnormal situations, instruments & valves, safety systems, and operations & optimisation.
  • Your competence record shows where you stand in each track, with every verified attempt — printable, for a supervisor or an employer.

Access

  • The first mission is free, with no account — try it from the Plant homepage.
  • The rest is by custom quote, for organisations and the people they train or assess. Once it is agreed, Plant appears in your workspaces.
  • With access you can run teams of trainees and set candidate assessments on the plant.
  • Signed in, Plant opens on your dashboard. Its homepage is still there — “Plant homepage” on the dashboard, or the account menu, or this link.
