Gas Processing & NGL
The gas-processing specialisation: recover natural-gas liquids in a flash, compress and condition a high-pressure gas loop, and fractionate a light-hydrocarbon mixture to a recovery spec.
What you demonstrate: Can recover NGLs to a recovery target, run a high-pressure compression and knockout loop, and fractionate a light-hydrocarbon stream to spec.

Modules (0/3 passed)
Module 1 · NGL Flash Recovery
Recovering natural-gas liquids in a flash with recycle: meeting a recovery target on the light fraction.
Assessment: Flash the NGL stream and recover the light fraction overhead — at least 70% of the pentane fed must report to the vapor product, with the recycle loop converged. (pass 70%)
Module 2 · Gas Compression & Conditioning
Compressing a gas to pipeline/process pressure, knocking out the condensable product and recycling — a full high-pressure gas loop.
Assessment: Compress the gas to ≥100 bar (10 000 kPa), then cool and knock out the condensable product — confirm the high-pressure gas reaches pressure and the liquid product is ≥90 mol% ammonia. (pass 70%)
Module 3 · Gas Fractionation
Splitting a light-hydrocarbon mixture in a fractionator: recovering the heavy key in the bottoms to a recovery and purity spec.
Assessment: Fractionate the mixture and drop the heavy key to the bottoms: recover ≥95% of the toluene fed at ≥95 mol% purity in the bottoms product. (pass 70%)
Capstone
Cross-module capstone
Deliver a converged NGL recovery loop: the vapor product must be ≥70 mol% pentane and recover ≥75% of the pentane fed, with a compact flowsheet (≤ 8 unit operations).
